Levon N. Nazarian, MD, FAIUM, FACR, FSRU

Levon N. Nazarian, MD is Professor of Radiology, Professor of Radiology and Orthopaedic Surgery, and Chief of Musculoskeletal Imaging at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He is a fellow of the American College of Radiology, the Society of Radiologists in Ultrasound, and the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine. Dr. Nazarian is Editor Emeritus of the Journal of Ultrasound in Medicine and serves on the editorial boards of multiple other medical journals. He received his AB degree magna cum laude from Harvard College in 1982 and MD from the Cornell University Medical College in 1986 where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Society.  He did his internship in Internal Medicine at Northwestern University, residency in radiology at The New York Hospital – Cornell Medical Center and fellowship in cross-sectional imaging at Thomas Jefferson University where he was a faculty member for many years before accepting his current position at Penn Medicine in 2023.
